Have you heard of this word, ghoti? I’ve never heard it in my life till a friend nickname Shark mentioned about it in MTU Sempoi. He asked how to pronounce the word. At the very first look, I am 100% sure it will be pronounce as GHOTI which is GHO as if Go and TI as if TI-cket. But, there is no meaning for the word in Dictionary.com and I tried to search in Google and I am so surprise at those result. I found this website dedicated to these word and guess how to pronounce GHOTI? GHOTI is to pronounce as if FISH? Funny? don’t believe it? you better believe.
Remember Bernard Shaw’s word ghoti with the gh from laugh, the o from women and the ti from nation and pronounced ‘fish’?
